Foshan Gaoming International Airport[1] is an under-construction international airport being built in the northeast of Genghe town, Gaoming district, Foshan and on the west side of Jiaotang town, Gaoyao district, Zhaoqing, both in South Central China’s Guangdong province.
The construction work of the airport started in 2022.[2] It will replace the existing Foshan Shadi Airport, and operate as another airport for Guangzhou and Foshan with the existing Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport continuing to operate.
The planned Guangzhou–Zhanjiang high-speed railway will have an intermediate stop at the airport.[3]
